This presentation will identify and discuss common challenges specific to motor and sensory impairments, food refusal, food selectivity by type, meal-time routine, and food selectivity by texture in children with an autism spectrum disorder. Strategies that will assist a child who has challenges with feeding and eating are discussed. The “Tasting Time Intervention” utilized at The Center in Autism will be described.
